Livingston Republican Party Chairman Jason Stern also commended Attorney General Buddy Caldwell, State Treasurer
John Kennedy, State Senator Jody Amedee, State Representative J. Rogers Pope, Parish Clerk of Court Tom Sullivan
and Parish Coroner Ron Coe, for winning their elections unopposed. All of these officials are Republicans.

"It is a great time to be a Republican in Louisiana. We are pleased that so many fine men and women are running for
office statewide and in Livingston Parish as Republicans,“ Livingston Parish Republican Party Chairman Jason Stern said.

“We interviewed and questioned as many candidates as possible in these races. I’d say that the executive committee
heard ten or twelve hours of testimony over the last few months from candidates,” said Stern. “To receive the
endorsement, each candidate was required to obtain 60% (seven) of the votes of our eleven member executive
committee by secret ballot,” Stern continued.

The statement, ‘No Endorsement,’ means that no one candidate received the supermajority of votes necessary for
endorsement. Nearly all of these races will be decided during the primary election on October 22nd.
